The Eight Section Brocade & Healing sounds
The Eight Section Brocade is an ancient Chi Kung and Nei Kung exercise of washing the inner body which is rarely taught to today’s students in its entirety, the name symbolically refers to the circulation of Chi through the complex network of energy channels within the body, these exercises when practices daily will stimulate and cleanse the channels and also help to remove any obstructions that may hinder the flow of Chi. With continual practice not only will one’s chi be balanced and free flowing, but the channels and their related organs will be in harmony. This in turn leads one to have a long and healthy life, remember the changes to no t take place overnight, it takes a great deal of time and practice to cultivate, one should not be discouraged in early practice.

The Six Healing sounds is a simple but potent system of Taoist self-development and often paired with such practices as Chi Kung, Tai Chi and the Eight Section Brocade, the system involves using six sounds or vibrations that are in tune with the natural vibration of the five elements and twelve organs within the body, by using each sound one can direct chi or energy to each of these sets of six organs and meridian channels to help create balance, clear blockages and improve health. This practice is best paired with a Chi generating exercise to be able to direct the generated chi to these areas through the sounds. With continued and regular practice, the body’s organs will become strong and healthy forming balance within the five-element cycle of destruction and creation.
