Universal Fist Kung-Fu
Universal Boxing or Hsing-I Bagua Chuan is a union between the two styles of Dragon Bagua and Hsing-I Chuan, This system is the first of its kind and seeks to build a bridge between the two philosophical Taoist principles, one being the Five Element Theory used to develop Chinese Medicine and studies the cause and effect of energy within the body and the world around us, while the second being the I Ching that focuses on more the structure of the universe itself. These toe system of study in time were manifested into the two fighting styles of Bagua and Hsing-I allowing their teachings to be both prolonged through time by way of the martial arts schools, but also t allow the practitioner to use the fighting style to become one with the universe as per Taoist tradition.
As we understand it the two halves form the balance of the universe just as there is an identical concept in western alchemy and esoteric tradition where the physical structure of the universe is a balance with the energetic forces that power it and create change. It was from this ideology that this system was brought into light. Further more the system strives to emulate the mechanical workings of the universe itself between the two systems and as such will instruct on the complexity that is the Taoist astrology system where the circular space of the heavens directs the world meridians of energy through to create what we refer to as time itself.
Due to the nature of the system it is of a good practice to have achieved a black belt level or higher in both of the individual styles of Bagua and Hsing-I in order to fully understand the techniques being taught, however in some cases Universal Boxing can be taught without these upon request.
